Stock Your Library - CURRENTLY UPDATED - We can now accept credit cards.

Children love having their own library. They really enjoy being able to pick a book, or many books off their library shelf and curling up to read them on a bad weather day. Starting a personal library for your children encourages them to read books more often. Reading nourishes the imagination, therefore producing better creative writers. The time they use for reading library books can also count towards class time and fulfill a set reading goal. Other incentives are less trips to the public library, no more deadline dates to return books, no more late fees, or paying for books that got lost somewhere.

The book list below is a great way to get started. And, short of going to the public library, you would not be able to acquire these books at a better price. So, why not get started on that personal library today! Pick your favorite books while they last, or explore some new ones. Your children will love you for it.

Prices stated, do not include S&H or (sales tax - for Texas residents only). Most of these books are award winning titles.

Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, & Atlases

A good dictionary can play a large part in the development of language skills which are very important to the progress of all other learning. The essentials for a good dictionary are clear, complete, and accurate definitions that are appropriate for the age level of the intended user. Thus, that is why there are so many different dictionaries. Dictionaries are designed to meet different age specific needs. (For example: A child in second grade would have difficulty using a collegiate dictionary. They would be overwhelmed with material that would be unnecessary and confusing to them. The smaller text size could also be hard on your child's eyes.) So, double check to see if the dictionaries you use are age or grade level appropriate.
